Note:
This reversing camera has been specially developed for use on the VW T5 and T6. The known problem is that a reversing camera can not be easily mounted on vehicles with levers. If you now use a conventional body camera you can align it downwards, but the rear of many vehicles runs slightly upwards towards the top. A normal reversing camera would detect this curvature and obscure the trailer coupling, the footboard or the bumper.
The rear-view camera, especially integrated into the 3rd brake light glass, allows visibility beyond the curvature and thus captures the complete rear wall, bumper etc. Only then can accurate maneuvering be possible, especially when it is only a few centimeters.
Estimate takes 1~1.5 hour to mount this camera.
